About Public Safety Ministries

Public Safety Ministries (PSM), a Minnesota non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation, was established in 2005 to address the growing need for spiritual health care and support resources in the public safety professions. We engage Minnesota’s professional public safety community through traditional chaplaincy programs, as well as through virtual and online environments. We are a ministry of presence, service and relationships, providing our spiritual care services in times of need as well as in times of calm. It is our mission To provide spiritual health care services to Public Safety Professionals throughout Minnesota.

Traditionally, our ministry has relied predominantly on providing a physical presence to provide our services.  We have frequently utilized virtual and online resources, such as when circumstances prevented a physical presence, but our preference was to show up in person as often as possible.  As circumstances and resources have changed over the years, we are finding that increasing our virtual/online presence is a good way to meet our changing ministry environment. Specifically, our new Life Hike Letters initiative will be the focus of our growing, virtual/online presence. Click here for more about Life Hike.
